What I didn't mention in the interview is that we recently discovered that my family has Sephardic heritage, we were conversos. My mother has converted back to Judaism, so there is a strong personal interest that draws me to Janet and her work, and of course the cuisine itself that resonates within me.

Mark, I am little behind the times here and finally got caught up on all your podcasts. I save them for when I work. It makes my day go faster and I learn and laugh too. I have really enjoyed the ones about Sephardic cooking. Which I knew NOTHING about. So that really was very interesting. Great interviews. I go and read Kalyn's blog all the time and love the herb day she has especially when someone from outside the USA talks about what is in season in their country.

Congrats on all your mentions everywhere and sign me up for the truffle wrestle. I have GOT to see that one!!!!
